What sports or fitness things did you do before WOTOWN?
Softball, running, fitness classes here and there
How did you find WOTOWN? What was your first workout?
Shelby and Mary. A running workout- I Rx’d and didn’t realize what that meant.
What’s your “why” for working out?
To be healthy so I can take care of my family. To be a good example for my kids. I also have a son with extra needs and as he continues to grow I want to be able to continue to transfer him or pick him up when he needs me.
What’s your favorite thing about WOTOWN?
Working out with my friends! Hands down! Enjoying the workouts and never dreading going to the gym.
What are your hobbies?
Going to church, running, spending time with my family and friends, playing with my kids.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I love math! I have an extremely high pain tolerance.
What PRs or accomplishments (fitness-related) are you most proud of?
Hitting 500 workouts and finishing a half marathon
What’s on your fitness bucket list?
A pull-up! Running a half near the beach.
What’s on your general bucket list?
Take my kids to Disney. Advocate for accessibility for children with special needs- including creating awareness for proper use of handicap parking.
What advice do you have for people new to WOTOWN?
You will be mentally and physically challenged. Hang in there, it’s worth it!
Anything else you’d like to mention?
CrossFit has made me mentally and physically tougher. I am thankful for the support and encouragement I have received along the way.
