Morgan Hudson got married. Then she got pregnant with twins.
She came back to Wotown Fit six weeks postpartum.
Most days her boys sit quietly in their stroller while she works out. Other days they lose their minds and cry. When that happens Morgan walks over, gets them settled, and gets back to her workout. Sometimes they keep crying. That is okay. I tell worried parents all the time that crying kids are the price paid for healthy parents.
Morgan is not waiting for perfect conditions. She is doing the work with the conditions she has.
She started back in January at 182 pounds. Her most recent InBody scan this week shows 174 pounds. That is 8 pounds down since January. But the weight is not the number worth talking about here.
Her body fat mass is down 7 pounds. Her skeletal muscle mass is up 3 pounds. Her percent body fat is down 3.3 points and sits at 25.8 percent. Her InBody score is 84, which puts her in the top 0.9 percent.
She came back six weeks postpartum with two infants in a stroller and she is in the top one percent of InBody scores.
That is what consistent, smart work looks like.
Her approach has been straightforward. Two to three days a week at the gym. Walking on the days she does not make it in. Higher protein meals and snacks. She has not tried to do too much. She has just done enough, consistently, and the results reflect that.
She also mentioned something that stuck with me. She said the BUILD days have been great. These are our lower-intensity isolated strength days. She can actually do push-ups now, not on a box. That is a small thing that is actually not small at all. That is real strength that did not exist before.
A month ago her husband Nick joined the gym. He is a plumber. His job is physical but that is different from training. Now they are working out together. They both showed up for our MURPH workout and both completed a half Murph. That is not a small thing for someone who just started.
Morgan’s boys are less than a year old. They are growing up watching their mom show up, do hard things, and not make excuses. Nick is beside her now doing the same.
This is what we see over and over at Wotown Fit. One person decides to prioritize their health. They do the work. The results come. And eventually the people closest to them follow.
It started with Morgan deciding to come back. Her husband is here now. Her boys will grow up thinking this is just what their family does.
That is worth more than any number on a scan.
