When Kelsey walked through the doors of WOTOWN in May of 2022, she had already experienced the world of fitness. But it didn’t take long before she realized this gym was different.
“I had good experiences at other places,” she said, “but when making the move to WOTOWN, I was not only challenged with physical growth like at other places—I was challenged mentally through my outlook on life in adjunction with fitness.”
That shift—both physical and mental—has led her to complete over 500 workouts with us. That’s no small feat. And what’s even more powerful is what she’s found on the other side of those 500 check-ins.
More Than Just Fitness
At WOTOWN, Kelsey found something she didn’t expect: a healthier relationship with working out and a bigger purpose behind it.
“It was an entire mind shift experience, and for the better,” she shared. “I have a better relationship with working out and the balance it has for my life now and long term. I accredit this to the specific knowledge shared through our staff, the approachable gym-wide challenges for all participants, and the core values that shine through the environment daily.”
It’s that intentional culture—where fitness isn’t just about chasing PRs or burning calories—that has made the difference.
Strength in the Hard Seasons
Some of Kelsey’s biggest accomplishments didn’t come from a barbell or leaderboard. They came from showing up when life was most demanding.
“Staying active through my twin pregnancy, working through postpartum depression, and now staying active as a part-time working mom of five kids—those are the things I’m most proud of,” she said.
This is what strength looks like in real life: not perfection, but perseverance. Not pretending life is easy, but refusing to walk through it alone.
Community That Moves With You
More than anything, Kelsey says it’s the people that have kept her going.
“My friends,” she said. “I absolutely love working out in the space, but there is nothing better than working out with your friends and leaving to go have coffee, texting them about your day, and sharing wins with them. Doing life together outside of fitness is THE BEST!”
And that’s really what WOTOWN is about.
It’s not just a place to train—it’s a place to grow, heal, laugh, show up messy, and leave a little better than you came in. It’s a place where people are chasing more than results. They’re chasing purpose. Together.
