Rebecca Muncher

Occupation*

Too many to list but my main two are Cosmetologist & Travel Agent.

When did you start WOTOWN*

June 2020

What sports or fitness things did you do before WOTOWN?*

I have worked out on and off since I was 16 years old at a gym or doing things like P90X at home. In 2014 I started running. Once the runners high hit I stopped doing everything other than running until I started WOTOWN in 2020.

How did you find WOTOWN? What was your first workout?*

My little sister Bailee asked me to come with her to a class told me l’d love it if I came. I told her there was no way I can do CrossFit. I always thought CrossFit was flipping tires and manly looking women. I realized it was not that at all! I was hooked after the first Bring a Friend Day. I can’t remember what that workout was but my first workout logged was on June 4, 2020 called FULLY LOADED it was a EMOM of 7 wall balls and 5 power cleans.

What’s your “why” for working out?*

My why is for my health and my mind. I also want to show my kids how important health is in their lives. I want to be able to do CrossFit and run marathons when I’m 70. It’s a goal of mine to still be doing what I do 30 years from now.

What’s your favorite thing about WOTOWN?*

The community and the friends I’ve made! The hour I’m at WOTOWN is one of my most favorite hours in my day.

What are your hobbies?*

Running and working out. I love to sew when I have time. I also can make some mean sourdough bread!

What’s something most people don’t know about you?*

I got my CDL and started driving a school bus in August after joking about doing it for years. Well now I love it, it’s so fun and I love the sound when the air breaks release. Haha

What PRs or accomplishments (fitness-related) are you most proud of?*

My most favorite accomplishment and the one I’m most proud of is running my first full marathon. The feeling of running 26.2 miles and seeing my family cheering me on at the finish line will be a moment I’ll never forget.

What’s on your fitness bucket list?*

I’d love to run a marathon in a National Park but I’d also like to get muscle ups and double unders lol

What’s on your general bucket list?*

I would love to buy a camper van and go to every National Park with the Hubs!

What advice do you have for people new to WOTOWN?*

Stick to it! Don’t compare yourself to anyone in the class. It’s your workout and your health. All of us were new here at some point and I’m sure most felt like they were out of place, I know I did but I stuck to it and now can do things that I never thought I would be able to do in my fitness. We all have different goals and remember you are here to accomplish yours!

Anything else you’d like to mention?

I just want to thank every person that has ever encouraged me and cheered me on. Y’all are amazing and help me push myself past what I think I can do! ♥️
