When did you start WOTOWN*

I think it was late January 2022

What sports or fitness things did you do before WOTOWN?*

Walking and light workout at Gardendale civic center.

How did you find WOTOWN? What was your first workout?*

My wife and I know someone that came to WOTOWN. I think we did some push jerks and I totally bombed the movement. Shelby was in the class with me and tried to give me extra coaching but it was hopeless. I appreciate her trying even though she wasn’t the coach that day.

What’s your “why” for working out?*

I needed to feel better, keep my mobility and maybe lose a few pounds.

What’s your favorite thing about WOTOWN?*

The coaching and the structured classes. There’s not a lot of cliques. Lots of just regular people.

What are your hobbies?*

I enjoy reading and keeping up with current events. Especially science stuff. I’m also a bit of an amateur investigator as well.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?*

I’m a Freemason. I’m also a total science and American history nerd.

What PRs or accomplishments (fitness-related) are you most proud of?*

I guess all of it. I can tell how far I’ve come. Still have a goals to reach, but I’m in it for the long haul…no quick timeline for me.

What’s on your fitness bucket list?*

A specific answer is to be able to do a strict pull-up. A general answer is to keep advancing my skills and endurance.

What’s on your general bucket list?*

I have some places in the world that I’d like to visit. I hoping to be healthy enough to do so.

What advice do you have for people new to WOTOWN?*

Show up! Don’t be afraid to ask questions or seek some help/coaching. Keep moving forward. An inch forward is still forward!
